Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to my little Lolly Rolly Polly! I can't believe 5 years ago Lola was born! Look how much she has changed. This is my absolute favorite picture of her as a baby. I don't even know exactly how old she is in this picture. No more than 4 months probably. She is a handful and she is definitely her own person and that is something that I love about her. She drives me crazy as if she was my little sister haha and we fight like sisters but I love her to pieces and wouldn't trade her for the world!!

Happy Birthday to an amazing 5 year old!!! I love you my little Lolly Rolly Polly!

Rockstar

Is the weekend really over? :( sad times!

Our family ended the weekend with a Rockstar Birthday party. Lola turns 5 on Tuesday so we celebrated today! It was probably her best birthday yet. And that is mainly because it was INSIDE :D Air Conditioner makes for a very happy Aunt Sara haha

There was a jump castle inside which even I thought was cool. They had a DJ, snow cones and even a booth set up for fake tats! haha probably the closest I will ever get to a real one. I am just too scared of needles. I think there was over 50 people there so it was quite the crowd. When all is said and done it was a great party. I know my sister is glad it is over! Enjoy the pics! :)

Aunt Theresa, Mom and Me. Oh and Izzy asking Nina for grapes. haha she's a mess

Theresa and I with our tats. haha she has a TINY pink star on her wrist. I have 3 red and black one's on mine.

Dancing

Xavier, Alicia, Shannon and Izzy.

Sissy and me Tony dancing with his girls. Loved it! So sweet!

Her cake was awesome! And extremely yummy!

The diva posing with her cake! haha I loved it!

Think she liked her cupcake? hahaha it was ALL over her! I doubt that blue icing will ever come out of that shirt! And it was all up on her neck! Bathtime is definitely happening for her tonight

This chick got way too many gifts. I was glad I made the decision to hold off on bringing the one from me today. I figure if I give it to her Tuesday she may appreciate it more. I would put what I bought her but Shannon might read this. And just to be mean I am keeping it a secret from her! HEHEHEHE sowwy sissy!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and hope you have a good week!

Hate

TRAFFIC!!!

this is probably the worst thing that can happen when you are almost on E thinking ok as soon as I get into downtown I will go to the gas station. Then bam dead stop!!! I called dad as a warning pretty much lol "If I break down on the interstate I am going to need to be rescued"

Luckily I did make it! :)

Needless to say the gym didn't happen after work since my nerves were shot...

BUT my night will be better! Kelly and I are going to Long Point Grill which is AMAZING!! Then doing a little bit of shopping. I love spending time with my bff makes any bad day better!

Bathing Suits

Now if only those last 25lbs would just take a hike already I could own one or all of these incredibly CUTE bathing suits! All found at Victoria Secrets! Gah maybe next summer it will happen!!

The last one is definitely my favorite! Love the colors and the design!

Bora Bora

I would give ANYTHING to be swimming in that beautiful blue water right now! It seriously feels like a million degrees outside right now. Although I have heard it was 108 that being the actual temperature, not sure of the heat index. Tomorrow I will be outside delivering mail all day... Lord help me that I don't pass out! Oh another great thing about tomorrow I have to wear PANTS no shorts allowed. LAME!

So lets take this picture add in a wonderfully hot guy (haha) and a nice frozen drink and all would be good!

Stay cool people! haha

Finally

I finally got to spend some good quality time at the pool after my workout. Thank God! I love being out in the sun and I finally got a little bit of color on my pale skin. I swear I was starting to glow people! Especially my legs :/

Since I am not at the apartment this summer I get to go to my aunts pool which is nice since I don't have to feel awkward about being in a bathing suit. Plus I got to spend time with my cousin Kimberly who I really don't see very often at all!

Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday!

1. What is your favorite summer time activity?

SWIMMING!!!! I love to swim and there are really no indoor pools around here to swim any other season.

I don't buy it! lol mom does! Perk to still living at home :)

3. What is your favorite dinner to make in the summer?

I used to love to just make baked chicken ALL the time! Just use different maranades to keep it interesting.

4. Do you have any talents?

I can sing... kinda!

5. If you could instantly be an expert in something, what would it be? Why?

Party

Last night I was my mommy's date to her Summer Mortgage Bankers Party. It was under the Ravanel Bridge's at the Mt. Pleasant Waterfront Park. I had been once before with Shannon and the girls for them to play on the playground and to walk on the docks but not for a party. Although I have heard before that this is a great spot for a wedding. I think the outside would be great for a ceremony but the inside isn't quite wedding in my opinion. Unless you have a very low key lowcountry wedding then I guess it would be perfect.

I pretty much just followed her around the whole night. That would be mainly because the 2 times I wasn't with her I got stuck in awkward conversations with men. One was extremely awkward.... but I won't go into that one! haha They had really yummy food catered by Smokey Oaks which is a yummy restaraunt on James Island. We had "lowcountry boil" which consists of corn on the cob, sausage, shrimp, onions and potatos boiled together and seasoned perfectly. Then they also had bbq but by the time mom and I got our food the bbq was gone! I am sure it was yummy though! All in all it was a good night. We saw some of the sunset which was gorgeous and we saw a container ship leaving the harbor. I thought for sure it was going to run right into the bridge. haha but it definitely did not.

My new dress that I got from the Airport! haha yes the airport! When we were in Philly I saw it as I was walking passed it, tried it on OVER my clothes ( no dressing rooms) and bought it! I figured if it didn't really fit I would find someone to have it! And it is blue not black, not sure why it looks black in this picture.

Here is a picture of the container ship during the sunset! I thought it looked pretty cool. Of course I am the girl that loves "transportation" haha I love cars, trains, planes, and boats! I know I am weird haha

After the party! Hair is UP and this girl was tired. I had 2 glasses of Chardonnay and I was sleepy!

**When we got home though we found out that my sisters Father in law lost his battle with Cancer. He fought hard but he couldn't fight anymore. Please keep them in your prayers I know this is a really hard time for them and it is so sad. But Mr. Gene is in a better place now and I know he is no longer in any pain. **

AND to end on a happier note look at this picture of my little guy! Isn't he just the cutest!?!?!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Trip to DC

So it took me what almost 2 weeks to get this post! haha I had planned to do a post for each day of the trip but I am a slacker and this is what you get! haha

Day 1: we left out of Charleston and flew up to Charlotte where we connected then flew into Salisbury MD. I was surprised there were no cows there to meet us at the airport in MD. Seriously it was the smallest airport ever! We got the rental car then drove to Aunt Shirleys house dropped off my grammy then headed to Rehobeth Beach MD to do some shopping. This is where I got my favorite thing of the whole trip... my coach purse! YES! 80% off just made it even better! We went back and stayed in MD.

Day 2: We dropped off my grammy with her Sister for a couple of days. Then headed into DC. That day we went to the library of congress which was really pretty. Who would have thought a library would be so gorgeous. I know my library isn't pretty haha have I mentioned before I am a "librarian" haha yes I am! Anyways after we went there we saw the Capitol which was HUGE then headed to the botanical gardens. That was nice but we had 10 mins to see it. Sad times! Oh and did I mention it was BLAZING hot outside! We then went to the Indian Museum and it was BORING! haha I don't think any of us liked that one. Btw it was me, mom and my aunt susan that went into DC. We headed back on the metro and went shopping at the Pentagon City mall which was nice then headed back to the hotel. We stayed RIGHT next to the Pentagon which was cool to see.

Day 3: this is the day we did the most. This will be hard to remember for me since I took 2 weeks to write this up. BUT that day we went to the art musuem, space museum, "the castle", holocaust museum which SUCKED, we saw the WWII memorial, Korean War memorial, Lincoln Memorial which was HUGE, Washington Monument and I THINk that was it.. haha I may have forgotten something. maybe! That day our feet were HURTING so we headed back to the hotel had some dinner then went swimming which was NICE! The pool felt SO amazing. It was the only night we went swimming but enjoyed it thoroughly.

Day 4: Ok this was probably my favorite day of the entire trip! We started out the day by visiting Arlington Cememtery. This was actually awesome! We took a tour of the cememtery saw the place where the Kennedys were buried, The Robert E. Lee house then the best part the tomb of the unknown soilder. We saw the changing of the guards and that was almost emotional. I was told if I was a patriot I would cry but I didn't CRY but I was almost teary eyed. We left there then mom and I split up from Aunt Susan and went to the White House. I enjoyed seeing it but I was thinking it would have been SO much bigger. But it was just an average white house in my eyes. Then we walked to the American History museum which I LOVED. On the way there though we got to see the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle rally riding through the mall. They let us cross the street at one point so we got to the musuem. We hit up that museum then went to the natural history museum. That one SUCKED. I think if there weren't millions upon millions of people there I would have enjoyed it but by the time we were done there I was DONE! I wanted OUT of the city. haha SO we went back to the hotel and I hit the gym! Now that made me feel SOOOO much better. Mom and Sue were going to go to some concert while I worked out but they changed their mind. So after I left the gym we went up to the Roof top and enjoyed the breeze and I cooled off.

Day 5: We woke up early and headed up to Mt. Vernon where George Washington Lived. IT WAS HOTTER THAN HECK THERE!!! Sorry had to add that in lol I wasn't in the best mood this day. I was just sooooo hot and tired and ready for some good non hotel room sleep! But I did enjoy the house and seeing the grounds but it was HOT. The museum they had there was awesome though I actually really enjoyed it. We had some really good bbq then headed back to Delaware to pick up grammy and spend more time with Aunt Shirley and Uncle Ed. Dude Uncle Ed was HILARIOUS! He kept said GD this GD that haha He even said GD pastor at one point in a story haha I had to laugh later with mom on this one! It's not everyday you hear someone say GD pastor! We left there then went to the hotel.

Day 6: FLY HOME!!! I was happy to be home and first stop when I hit Charleston GYM!!!!!!! I felt huge from eating so much that trip but I guess we walked it off because I finally had hit my 30lb weight loss goal. Sweeeet!!! 25 more lbs and I will be happy :)

So that's our trip. The pictures are below! Sorry it's not a better post but this is a slacker post haha

Love,

Sara
