10 Random Facts

10 random facts about me in no particular order 1. I am a contractor for the Government with no particular job description. I do anything from delivering mail to typing up documents to answering the switchboard etc 2. I love yellow roses 3. I love my blackberry (crackberry) but am thinking of going back to a basic phone to save money. 4. My favorite color changes almost daily... so therefore I guess I do not technically have a favorite 5. I love taking pictures although I don't do it as often as I used to 6. I have developed a new addiction to coloring my hair different reds. There are probably 5 colors in my hair right now 7. I am VERY addicted to the strawberry crystal light packets you put in your water bottles. Luckily I only allow myself to drink these at work. SO GOOD! 8. I am a busy body. Not a fan of staying home all day doing nothing. Might have to do with the ADD 9. I would like to think I will have kids one day but honestly I am undecided. I guess if I find a man worth marrying my views in children might change. 10. I have replaced my work chair with a yoga ball which is rather fun. I have noticed myself bouncing around which will be good for my core. Join in and share 10 facts about yourself. I actually found it hard to do! lol Sara

Flattered

Hello lovely people!! I hope you are all doing well today! I am extremely happy today which is funny since my day didn't start out that way. So yesterday afternoon a co-worker of mine who I am not all that fond of came up to me telling me I had to do something. Which is HER job not mine. I brushed it off then this morning I woke up thinking about it and got quite flustered by it. Why must I help people who don't even help themselves? I mean I am all about helping people at work but if they don't even try themselves it bothers me to no end. Anyways this morning I was driving to work and started praying about it and decided God had it under control. In our morning meeting my boss talked about it and it turned out to not be as big a deal as she made it out to be. RELIEF!!! Thank you God!! OH and I just started learning something new at work so it has actually helped me feel less stressed here. Which normally you would think it would have completely the opposite affect... nope it has given me something to do without using any brain power lol kidding there is some! I literally sat here yesterday for almost like 2 hours without even realizing how long it had been. YAY!! Makes the day go by so much faster. So after my meeting another co-worker asked me to come see him. We are friends on FB so he was looking at those pictures my Aunt Susan took at the park 2 weekends ago and his daughter happened to see them. Well she is in school for photography and is always looking for people/things to take pictures of. So she asked him to see if I was a willing candidate! I figure why not? It could be potentially fun. I saw some of her pictures and some are normal and some are funky. So you only live once... why not? Plus it will help her with school! So we shall see what comes of it! If she does take pictures I will be sure to put them on here. Well I am going to get back to my lunch!! Mac N Cheese yummmm!!! Sara

Charlestown Landing

In my post yesterday I had mentioned going to Charlestown Landing with my Aunt Susan. Sunday was such a gorgeous day that I knew I didn't want to workout in the gym. I just had to be outside (which I later paid for with allergies). I called my Aunt Susan who is ALWAYS up for going most anywhere with me. She loves me what can I say! :) So we went to the park with intentions to ride bikes but ever since they changed the park to make it "better" they did away with bike rentals. However, you are allowed to bring your own. Next time that is our plan IF we go back. So what I had intended to be a "workout" slowly turned into a photo shoot. My aunt kept telling me to pose here and pose there. I actually deleted a good bit of the pictures. I am posting a FEW on here but my facebook has the rest that I kept. We had a great time and it was gorgeous out the weather was PERFECT! So here are my pictures... Enjoy!

This is one of the BIG alligators and I believe there is like 8 turtles next to him

He had his feathers all puffed up and the ladies didn't even care hehe

I believe this is a bison? Although I am not 100% on that one

This was the trail through the animal forest. I thought it was so pretty and very shady.

This is where the "photo shoot" pictures begin

Making a wish
I was proud of myself for getting in that tree. I am not much of a tree climber.

My aunt was all about the flowers in my hair

Aunt Susan and I

We really did have a great time. I just should know better to not spend SO much time outside with the pollen. I was paying for it the last 2 days and I am still sniffling today. boo pollen!!

Pollen hates me

So I must say that I abosolutely HATE pollen. Before this year it never once bothered me. Not even so much as a sneeze. But this year it has taken its wrath on me and I feel like DEATH. Yesterday I actually didn't go to work. I hate being that person that calls out on a monday BUT I spent like 4 hours outside at a park with my Aunt Susan on Sunday and I guess it took over my head. I didn't sleep at all Sunday night so alarm time Monday morning I knew work was just NOT in the forecast for me. So I took some tylenol pm and back to bed for another 4 hours I went. Then I stayed on the couch for most of the day until about 3 watching lifetime movies. Now I used to LOVE lifetime movies but now they are just stupid. I still watched them because there was NOTHING on TV but I wasn't reallly impressed. So I am at work today hating life wishing I could breathe.... on a more interesting note... today someone kinda popped back up in my life kinda who I have been missing a lot actually... I always wonder why that happens? Not that it happens very often of course but I have been thinking of this person a lot lately and then BAM there he is... hmmmm! I won't over think this but I will say it was kinda nice to talk to him. Although I probably sounded like an idiot because I was dumbfounded! is that a word? anyways... since I am now single again... yay *sarcasm* maybe it's a sign... maybe it's not... time will tell! I guess I am realizing now that what I want might have been in front of me for quite some time.... hmmm!! Well enough of the thinking for this pollen infused head of mine! Back to do some more mail stuff then get ready to go home and get in my BED :D yay!!! Best cure for allergies is my bed!! :D

Oh and next time I hope to post some pictures from my trip to Charlestown Landing sunday with my aunt! She turned our "workout" into a photo shoot for me! If only I had known I could have dressed a bit nicer! :)

Vent and my weekend

Blah is all I can think right now. That's the word that has just described me this week. Do you ever just feel you are in a rut? Like day to day you do the same thing even if you tehcnically do not? Maybe it's just me maybe it's not... but if you can relate then obviously you are not alone. Let me just say I am aware that I am truely blessed to have a full time job and wouldn't give that up for the world right now. BUT lately it just seems like it is crazy hard to motivate myself to get to this place. My job is not hard, the people I work with are awesome MOST of the time lol but I just feel like this place is turning me into a 90 year old woman or something. I seriously am starting to think I get a wrinkle everyday. Ok definitely not FOR REAL but just how I feel. I honestly just think it might be time for a couple of days off. The last time I took any REAL time off was in August when I went to Texas. I have taken days off where I was sick, just plain ole not feeling good or had Dr. Apointments but nothing FUN or relaxing. The weekends are just not enough sometimes... So maybe that is what I will do take some time away from work even if I don't really even go anywhere. Just some time AWAY! My co-worker is always telling me to take time off for me. Seriously everyone else around here is gone ALL. THE.TIME. but that is why I am here ALL. THE.TIME! My job is not one thing specific it is EVERYONES job including my own ..... SO when they are out I cover for them. Nobody covers for me though.... nice right? ok ok ok I am done venting complaining WHATEVER you call this.... just wanted to kind of get it off my chest a bit.

Anywho...

Let's talk about something a little more happy! Weekend recap!
Last weekend I went with my Aunt to Ikea like I had already posted about and we had a BLAST. We were only gone for the day 14 hours to be exact. I picked her up at 6:30AM and we were in Charlotte before 10 :) Good timing because basically nobody was on the roads which was VERY nice. She bought a good bit while we were there but all I bought was a coffee table for CHEAP and 2 things for my Joshiepoos birthday this saturday. So I live at home and you may wonder why I bought a coffee table... because eventually I won't live there and it was only $20 so it was a deal. So after we left IKEA with a car FULL of stuff (we got furniture for someone else too) we headed to the South Park Mall to eat at the Cheesecake factory. The ONLY reason we went to this upscale rich mall was to eat there but the wait was OVER an hour and we were Starving. So basically we went out of our way for chick-fil-a. Oh and my aunt did buy a really pretty white tunic shirt and a beautiful scarf. So I guess it was worth it. We did get to experience driving through a not so great area of Charlotte. Needless to say we were ready to get OUT of there. So we left Charlotte around 3 and decided we were not done shopping. By that point I had only spent $40, not bad. She paid for gas and all, so we headed to Columbia to their mall. Again I didn't buy a THING. I know 2 malls AND Ikea and I only spent $40 the entire day... something is wrong with me. But I just didn't see anything that I HAD to have. So we shopped and headed back to Charleston around 6 I believe. I know I was home before 9! All in all a good trip, I wish mom had come with us I know she would have had fun. We talked the ENTIRE time and just had fun laughing and catching up on life.
Sunday I slept in and went to the gym. Nothing exciting BUT that night mom cooked Shrimp Fetucini Alfredo and OH MY GOD it was AMAZING!!!! I had to stop myself from over eating it was THAT good. yum yum!!
This week so far at work has just been blah. But I have spent some time with the BF, Kelly and I went out grocery shopping that night too. Oh and yesterday I got to see Norrissia and Nevaeh GREAT to see them!! It is so crazy that she has finally gotten here and she has been here an entire MONTH!!! NUTS! She is such a gorgeous baby and honestly she is quite good! After that I went and hung out with Ashley and her family! Ashley and I parted ways for over a year because of something petty and now we are back as friends and last night was SO great. It felt just like old times and just felt right. I am glad her and I got over whatever it was that sepearted us to begin with. I really missed her and her hubby and now they have this sweet little man who is seriously just a joy to be around. He is SO darn cute and his little smile is to die for. Oh and not to mention last night he winked at me which was SO cute! ok ok yall get the point haha CUTE BABIES!! Makes me miss Lola and Issabelle being baby babies. They are still young but now that Izzy is mobile she just doesn't seem like a BABY anymore. so sad!

Well my work thing is almost done copying. So I guess I should finish what I was doing. It took over an hour for me to copy all these drawings to ONE database. Nuts considering I am not completely done. All in a days work!!
Happy Hump Day Everyone!!

5 Question Friday

1. Do you know what your REAL hair color is?

I most certainly do. It is DARK brown, so dark in fact most of the time people told me they thought it was black. That is why I started dying it because I didn't want to have black hair. Plus dying your hair is really fun.

2. Do you plan ahead for summer, or fly by the seat of your pants?

Well I don't have anything already planned. I guess fly by the seat of my pants? I mean really the only difference for me with summer is the heat. Still do the same daily routine just might throw in the beach a couple of times and the Splash Zone with my nieces.

3. What is your favorite meal to cook?

Well since I moved back home I haven't actually cooked at all. BUT I love to make Italian Chicken with veggies on the side and whatever other side I feel like making. I made this a lot when I lived in my apartment. So yummy!! Or Teriyaki sp? chicken with zuchini and squash.

4. Do you get offended by not receiving thank yous?

Not really. A thank you is always nice but sometimes things are just understood I feel. If someone seems appreciative just by their actions that is thank you enough for me. I am just not one of those over emotional people so I tend to just let things like that not bother me.

5. How did you meet your best friend?

Well I am guessing our parents got together and had us there as babies? I have no idea technically. I have known Kelly for as long as I can remember. She was the one person I played with all the time growing up. We even had weddings planned for our barbies. I am not talking we planned it in a couple of seconds and made it happen. I remember Kelly actually taking weeks to plan one of the weddings LOL yeah we are special but it's all good. It is funny because her and I are actually SO different but yet she is my very best friend. So I think it is funny how that works.

Go link up for the 5 question friday and read everyone else's answers

Japan

In case you haven't heard there was a horrible 8.9 earthquake in Japan this morning. Just off the coast of Tokyo. So scary... it has been a little over a year since Haiti's earthquake if I am not mistaken.... Please keep the people in Japan in your prayers as well as all that might be affected by the Tsunami's they are expecting to happen. They have warnings as far away as Alaska! How crazy is that?? My ex and his family are in Japan so I am hoping that they are ok! So scary! The flooding is horrendous...

Guess Where...

I am going on Saturday!!!! IKEA!!!!!!! Can we say excited?? I love this store although now not having my own place there is not much for me to REALLY buy but I still love it. My aunt needs to go up there to buy some furniture so she said she would pay for gas. SOOOO basically it's a free trip to IKEA which I can't turn down! I am also hoping that I can talk her into going to the Cheesecake Factory. I have heard that place is AMAZING but have never been. If it is too far out the way then we probably won't go but hey if it isn't tooooo far we might just have to stop. If you have never been to an IKEA you need to find one close to you and GO NOW! lol ok not GO NOW but seriously you really should take a trip there it is definitely an experience. Oh and do not take your kids with you... I mean you can but you probably won't enjoy it as much. For example my sister is not an IKEA fan because she took both her kids there with her on a Saturday... that is just not a good idea EVER! So don't do that unless you want to tranquilize your kids and I am pretty sure that would be frowned upon haha I digress.

Hopefully one of my cousins will come with us just so I can spend time with them. I hardly ever see them which is sad considering we are in the same city. I guess life happens like that sometimes huh?

Sara

Hair

So lately I have been starting to think I should get rid of the red in my hair. I think it is super fun and really pretty but I am not a natural red head. Not that the colors in my hair would naturally be on someone else's. Well I suppose they could but not all together. I actually had a guy yesterday look at my hair and ask me "Exactly how many colors are in there?" haha So I suppose that is not a great thing huh? of course guys are clueless about hair anyway!

Now if only I could get my hair to be as long as her hair is in this picture.

So what do you think? Brown is my natural hair color but I would still add the blonde to give it some extra funness. Is funness even a word? Probably not! lol Oh well I can make up words on my blog I am pretty sure it is allowed. So tell me what you think :)

Cop Humor

I found these to be quite funny! I actually Laughed out loud at a couple of them! Sad thing is these are probably 100% true...

I heard someone recently say they got pulled over and asked for a warning... the officer said he didn't take requests... haha I guess when it's my turn I won't be laughing but I am hoping my turn doesn't come up! One thing I have been trying so hard to not do lately is text and drive... I watched a video on it a couple of weeks ago and it just kinda opened my eyes to the real danger. One text message and someone could be dead... I wish I knew where that video was I would post it on here. Just everyone try and be more cautious about texting and driving.

These are actual comments made by South Carolina Troopers that were taken off their car videos:
1. "You know, stop lights don't come any redder than the one you just went through."

2. "Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch after you wear them a while."

3. "If you take your hands off the car, I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document." (My Favorite)

4. "If you run, you'll only go to jail tired."

5. "Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? Because that's the speed of the bullet that'll be chasing you." (LOVE IT)

6. "You don't know how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?"

7. "Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?"

8. "Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket."

9. "The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

10. "Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop."

11. "Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven."

12. "In God we trust; all others we run through NCIC." ( National Crime Information Center )

13. "Just how big were those 'two beers' you say you had?"

14. "No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can."

15. "I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours. So you know someone who can post your bail."

AND THE WINNER IS....

16. "You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here."

*I got this from an e-mail sent around work so I don't know where the image came from. But I do know it is a SC state trooper picture*

5 Question Friday

1. Have you ever forgotten your child in a store or at school?

Well considering I do not have a child I would say no. haha I have taken my niece Lola out and trust me you wouldn't be able to forget her in a store.

2. Where did you go on your very first date? (Like...first first, not first with your spouse or current significant other!)

Hmmm I believe it was in 6th grade I went with my boyfriend (I say this word lightly. We only talked on the phone thats IT until this date) and his parents to a church service and BBQ on the beach I believe on Seabrook Island. It was lame now that I look back but I was crazy excited about it. I think that relationship was lame though we were in the same class yet never spoke at school or sat with eachother at lunch. haha

3. What's your "silly" fear? (We're not talking water and heights.)

Someone about 3 years ago told me about a hag. Supposedly a hag will jump on you in your sleep UNLESS you sleep with a bible under your pillow or near your bed at least. So for a good year I slept with a bible under my pillow out of pure fear this thing would jump on me. Now I realize it is very unlikely to ever happen but I admit the fear is still kind of there. haha yes I would say this is quite silly. But hey you know what a fear is a fear regardless of what you are scared of.

4. Confrontation: do you cause it, deal with is as it comes, or run far far away?

depends on the situation. Most of the time I would rather just walk away and not deal with it. I am not much for confrontation. I would consider myself rather chill and hate drama. I mean I am still a girl so yes there is a little bit every now and a again but I am more into the ignore it until it is gone way of dealing.

5. Wood floors or carpet?

Don't have my own house BUT I like how my parents house is. Wood floors everywhere except the bedrooms. I think bedrooms shouldn't be wood it's just too cold and not as cozy.

Netherlands

My dad sent me this e-mail the other day and I just loved the pictures so much I had to show you guys. Seriously, how gorgeous is this landscape?? I can only imagine how great it would be to see it in person. Just wow! God is amazing with the things that are on this earth and this is definitely one of those amazing things! I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did. I know a couple of my co-workers loved them too! It's nice to see things like this when you are in a cubicle all day with no windows in sight! lol

The Netherlands in May

At first glance, it looks like a giant child armed with a box of crayons has been set loose upon the landscape. Vivid stripes of purple, yellow, red, pink, orange and green make up a glorious patchwork. Yet far from being a child’s sketchbook, this is, in fact, the northern Netherlands in the middle of tulip season. The Dutch landscape in May is a kaleidoscope of color as the tulips burst into life. The bulbs are planted in late October and early November. More than three billion tulips are grown each year and two-thirds of the vibrant blooms are exported, mostly to the U.S. and Germany .

These last 2 are my favorite ones! Especially the first one, of course I am a sucker for a gorgeous Sunset.

I love my friends

I liked these when I saw them... Just thought I would share! So cute! Especially the last one hehehe

Beach Beach and more Beach

Finally I got my pictures uploaded. Unfortunately I think our router at home is broken so my lap top is just not connecting to the internet. SO I had to use my mom's mac and honestly I didn't like it... maybe because it's different? I don't know. I am not a huge fan of change.

So this past weekend I really didn't do much. I hung out at the house a lot. Kelly was out of town she is my PIC and the bf was working all weekend so there went those 2 options. BUT Saturday night I picked up my Aunt Susan and we went out for a bit of shopping. She is always my Kohls buddy and I found a TON of stuff there that I wanted. Didn't buy it all but I definitely wanted to. BUT my favorite purchase was the shirt below. It is the CUTEST shirt I have probably ever had. At least that is MY opinion. It was only $12.99 and seriously the ruffles and the ribbon on the back just made my life. GO PURCHASE NOW!

That was it for my weekend. I did end it with steak and this yummy potato stuff mom made! Great way to end the weekend if I do say so myself.

So here are some pictures I have been wanting to upload.

Izzy at the beach it was quite chilly that day

Later that week I picked up Lola and took her out to Folly and we had a great time. It wasn't sunny but that's ok. We still had tons of fun. She kept saying to me while running "I love the beach! Thank you so much for bringing me here!" Seriously it's moments like that where it doesn't matter how much of a brat she had been haha

She made me pose like this. She's sassy so I guess I had to be!

Oh and she just had to play in the sand. I was ok with it the sand felt so nice and cool and good on my toes.
*while typing just now I hit my open bottle of water with my elbow... yup got it all over my desk... NICE*

She loved her feet in the water but that water was too freaking cold for me!

I love the way this picture looks. So misty and eerie

Later that weekend my friend Kristin came in from Dallas/Fort Worth Texas and we went to the beach. This day was GORGEOUS. I actually had a sunburn when I got home which was nuts to me. It was really cool though because we saw the awesome starfish above and at least 12 others like it and she saw a sand dollar for the first time ever. I believe she even kept one to take home.
This would be Kristin and her sand dollar! Cute picture with the light house behind her!
Oh one last picture.... we stopped at Sonic and this was park obviously next to us... HOW CRAZY! Why do people do that? TACKY! I like skittles but definitely not that much lol so I had to take its picture. It was a must!
I hope everyone is having a specatcular Tuesday! Mine is quite marvelous despite just knocking over my water! lol
